Lavell’s Wetland Trust (Formerly Friends of Lavell’s Lake), a nature and wildlife charity co-managing 46 acres of mixed wetland habitats at Dinton Pastures Country Park, became owners of Lea Farm Lake which was gifted by trustee Ron Bryant, who purchased Lea Farm Lake from Summerleaze

Fraser Cottington, Chairman of L.W.T. commented:

‘We are delighted that Rob and Summerleaze have given us this opportunity, we’ve achieved so much in the last ten years and this is a huge deal. The lake being privately owned means we can take things to a whole new level and create the best wetland bird watching site in the county and offer hides of unparalleled quality in Berkshire. Our volunteers have poured love and commitment in to help shape the site and we can now move ahead with our ambitious plans to grow our membership, appeal to families, improve the habitats, add fantastic new hides, attract more species and grow populations of all the birds that are visit already.’
